TANSY MAMA - Smells like heaven and makes your skin feel like it too

TANSY MAMA - Smells like heaven and makes your skin feel like it too

I was having one of those Mondays. You know which ones I’m talking about. The ones where everything is a mess, your hair looks like something out of a horror movie, you spilt your coffee all over your white blouse, the guy you liked ghosted you and it’s Mercury Retrograde. And despite all of that, I had one small consolation prize. My skin was gorgeous. I can be very self-critical so I don’t praise myself often, but for the past few months my skin has been looking bomb, a fact that everyone and their mother mentioned to me.

So despite my horrid day, I still got admiring looks and the question: What is your secret?

I have been using Ashanti Cosmetic’s Tansy Mama Luxe Face Mask since I got my hands on it a few months ago, and that combined with 15 Shades of Pink have done literal wonders to my face. I had been looking for a mask and exfoliator that weren’t too abrasive, and because Tansy Mama contains mini micro beads from the wondrous Moroccan clay, you get two in one with this face mask.

 As a Mask

When I use it as a mask I usually take my sweet time to pamper myself. I’ll put it on after cleansing and steaming my face so the ingredients can really work their magic. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes then gently rinse it off with a damp cloth. The mask contains blue tansy oil, hence the name, which is a hard hitter when fighting irritation and break outs. Hence why Tansy Mama is put on heavy duty during the week before my period. The combination of blue tansy oil and neroli oil, which is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial help fade scarring and relieve redness and inflammation. It also contains kaolin clay which is fantastic for oil control, because it absorbs excess sebum, so if you suffer from oiliness you can count on Tansy to make you photo ready. In a nutshell, Tansy Mama makes me look human even when I’m feeling like anything but.

As an Exfoliant

As mentioned before my skin gets super problematic before I get my period so during that time I’ll use it 3-4 times a week as opposed to once or twice a week. I usually use it in the shower just after cleansing. I take a dime sized and lightly rub it all over my face leave it on for about 2-5 minutes then rinse it off. It’s an extremely gentle exfoliator so it’s suitable for sensitive skin as well. The micro beads from the Moroccan clay really remove dead skin cells nicely, leaving you with a soft and smooth surface. I don’t wear makeup often, but before a night out, I always use Tansy Mama, because it buffs my skin for a natural and gorgeous glow, so I always have a nice and smooth canvas.

A little goes a long way with this mask, it smells like heaven and makes your skin feel like it too. I use it with 15 Shades of Pink and Bronzed Panther when I really just want my skin to beam. It’s suitable for dry skin too (Although I would double down on the moisturising if you’re on the dry side) and it’s especially useful for combination to oily skin.

Tansy Mama should become an essential part of your Sunday Night me time, because it’s refreshing and soothing. Essentially Tansy Mama is magic in a small jar, bringing even the dullest skin back to life with ease.
